About Me

I received my MD degree from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California and completed psychiatry residency at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. I have been an integrative psychiatrist at the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at UCSF for over 20 years, have worked extensively with people with chronic or terminal illness, and have co-led group sessions of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for Depression. I am a graduate of the End-of-

Life Care Practitioner Program offered through the Metta Institute (formerly offered through Zen Hospice Project).

My office is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I have been personally enriched by involvement with the Self-Realization Fellowship teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda, by the teachings of Adyashanti, Mukti, Dorothy Hunt, Lama Rod Owens, and by the mentorship and teaching of Sudha Prathikanti MD and Naomi Lam MD.
